The Blueprint form

To download the Blueprint you give us your first and last name, email address, phone number, city and country, and you tick a box agreeing to be contacted about your film. We record the date and time you ticked it.

We use it for two things: sending you the document, and contacting you about your film. That is the whole reason the document is free rather than sold — the exchange is stated on the form, and it is the only one.

Lawful basis: your consent, which you gave on the form and can withdraw at any time.

The discovery call

If you pay for a discovery call, Stripe takes the payment and we never see or store your card details. We receive and keep your email address, your name if Stripe collected one, and the identifiers Stripe gives us for that payment, so that the credit code we issue can be honoured later.

When you tell us when you are free, we keep the times, your time zone and your film title for as long as it takes to arrange and hold the call.

Lawful basis: performance of a contract — you have paid for something and we have to deliver it.

Submitting a film

What you send through the submission form — your details, the film's details, screener links — is used to consider the film and to reply to you. It is recorded in a private spreadsheet and emailed to us.

Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in considering films offered to us, and in replying to people who write to us.

Who else sees it

Three processors, and nobody else:

• Stripe — payments. They are the ones handling your card, not us.
• Google — the email account we correspond from, and the spreadsheet submissions are recorded in.
• Replit — where this website and its database are hosted.

We do not sell your details, rent them, or pass them to anyone for their own marketing. There is no advertising network on this site.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics. Stripe's checkout, which is on Stripe's own domain rather than this one, sets what it needs to take a payment safely.

How long we keep it

Blueprint and enquiry details are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until we have had no contact with you for three years, whichever comes first.

Records of payments are kept for seven years, because tax law requires it. That is the one thing we cannot delete on request while the period is running.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent to being contacted. Email joey@dawsonagents.com and it will be done — you do not need to give a reason and it does not cost anything.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
